We installed a new project at the J1 in Marseille, as part of the Marseille-Provence 2013 European Capital of Culture program.

The OS.15.03 is the latest production from the OnSite project by Belgian designer Sebastien Wierinck, commissioned by MP2013, the artistic office behind the European Capital of Culture, and installed since march in the recently renovated J1 Hangar, a 6000 sq. meter seafront space in Marseille, France, made available to the European Capital of Culture as an exhibition space.

The Onsite projects uses plastic corrugated flexible tubes - which are normally used for underground networks - as a construction material for public furniture objects and temporary installations projects. The flexible tubes are mounted on a laser cut steel framework and suspended at the ends to create a global spatial intervention, including a seating facilities for more than 30 people, an aerial network of tubes and light points.
